FORGET the words DIET and EXERCISE when it comes to weight control, and think more about the words TAKING CONTROL. If you are able to control your LIFE, then you are able to control your WEIGHT. In order to achieve a healthy, happy and successful life you need to make the necessary changes along the way where and when needed.

If you find that some extra pounds have accumulated over a period of time and your health and lifestyle are being affected, or you just need to drop a few pounds to look and feel great, then you can begin to work on the problem today by simply introducing some simple adjustments into your daily life routine.

To achieve healthy natural weight loss you need to change your current eating habits and develop new ones which are better and more attuned to your body's natural rhythms'. You must help re-establish the natural cycle of your body which may have been turned upside down by your present eating habits.


The natural metabolism processes which are present in your body are upset when you eat unhealthy foods, and as a result, the body is unable to metabolize food efficiently and you end up putting on extra pounds. The job of your metabolism is to burn the food you ingest. If you have a steady flow of food into your system your metabolism will continue to run efficiently and burn off fat.

So simply put, it's not so much WHAT you eat, but how OFTEN you eat.

To keep your metabolism going strong and to prevent overeating, it's important to have a healthy snack about every three to four hours. If you are at home, it's fairly easy, but what about everywhere else? Well, with a little thought and common sense, there are plenty of healthy snacks that you can take with you to work, or wherever you may be going.

Your body will respond positively if you feed it 5 to 6 six times a day with small portions rather than 2 or 3 times with larger portions. You can still eat what you like within reason, and you will find that those hungry pangs will no longer appear to tempt you.

Keep Moving

You will notice that I have not headed this section exercise. Exercise to most overweight people is like a red rag to a bull. Just the thought of it can be enough to turn you off losing weight forever.

You keep your body working through its' daily processes you just need to keep moving.

Stop for a minute and just think about it. You were not put on this earth to sit down all day. Your body was made to enable you to partake in many varied activities. This doesn't mean that you have to go out and begin training to be an Olympic sportsperson. All you need to do is use your brain and be logical and sensible about how you can incorporate enough movement into your day to boost your bodily processes.

As everyone is different, what activities work for some, will not work for others, so I won't go into all the things that you could do to keep moving. I'm sure by now that you have already thought of several ways you can achieve this.


To sum up, you don't need to faint from fad diets, fall to the ground from exhaustion with over exercise. You just need to be aware of your body's needs and the way it processes what you feed it. Once you have mastered this, you are well on your way to achieving great results.
